Sports and stats, sports and stats that is the one thing we seem to care about the most in america. Most time we pull up stats that really don’t matter and are never interesting. After talking with a fellow contributor of this site the other day he asked me a question that I’ve truly never thought of. Him and I have both loved and played sports together so sometimes we have in depth conversations. He said “You know how their’s the AFC and NFC and then the divisions are broken down into 4 teams. Is there a division where all…

With auto-tune and party songs taking over today’s R&B singers it’s hard to tell who’s truly talented and who has been assisted by computer-tuning. There is nothing like a sheer powerful voice, you can feel it in your bones. It’s the same feeling you get when you hear Adele or Jennifer Hudson sing. Those type voice are very rare indeed. I started to feel as though I would never get the true old school feel of singers ever again, and then I heard Cheers to the fall. Andra Day’s first major album is a breath of fresh air. Her name…

When I was a kid, I can honestly say I had no clue what I wanted to be when I grew up. I mean clueless. In school I would make up something different every time an assignment projecting our careers came up. Now it’s not that I hadn’t given it any thought, because I did. A lot. My future was just something I wasn’t ready to decide on, until a few years ago. One thing I always knew was my pops was the coolest dude in the world. And he was a basketball coach. I was fortunate enough to watch…

It seems as though with everything becoming so fake now a days we’ve become absentminded to what’s real. Fake bodies, fake food, fake people, fake lives, and even fake movies and music. So when something real comes we tend to shove it to the side because it’s no longer the norm. We should thank Dr. Dre for introducing us to a real artist. Someone who understands the meaning of live instruments and real lyrics. Anderson .paak is a unique blend of old school smoothness and millennial flare. His first album “Venice” was an introduction into the world of .paak. The…

There are quite a few bones in your body. Over 200 to be exact (even though that’s technically not an exact number, right?!). Some of which we protect with all of our strength and then there are others that we don’t seem to appreciate quite as much. When something is not appreciated as much it tends to work hard to show you just how important they are. They will NOT be ignored. When they make their stamp in your life it will be so impactful that it will be legendary. *CUES THE SHIN BONE AND FUNNY BONE* The Shin Bone!…

As I’m scrolling through the internet looking at useless, mind numbing stories I keep seeing a trend going on that we as people continue to ignore. What is funny is that normally if one or two human beings from one group of people do something than we automatically condemn the group of people instead of the one or two. So we judge based on a few. So we have it in us to look at a situation and go “hmmm, maybe I shouldn’t do this because I remember what happened the last time with such a situation.” We can do…

“Let’s shake on it.” We have all said it at least once in some form or fashion. The handshake agreement goes back centuries to the stone ages. Two parties agreeing to perform some task, exchange some currency, or abstain from doing an activity in exchange for an agreement or action by the other party is the building block of modern contract law in the United States. An agreement that is solidified by a handshake, usually witnessed by others, is what we have come to understand to be a gentlemen’s agreement. Believe it or not, these handshake agreements or gentlemen’s agreements…

Why is it that Kendrick Lamar’s 3 non-album songs could be put on an EP and be better than most albums? He’s passionate, he realizes his influence, and is a leader. Kendrick doesn’t seem to be motivated by money, or a lavish lifestyle. He’s motivated by people, his love for mankind, and god’s will. Kendrick’s will from god is to inspire. Kendrick takes his talents and leads. No one can tell him what he does is wrong because he’s well rooted in his morals and who he is. We all know that Kendrick couldn’t have gotten here on his own…

2015 is officially under our belts and 2016 is here! With the New Year comes those “New Year, New Me” post and memes. There is no shortage of new trends and this is no different in the tech world. You don’t have be a conventional “techie” to want to be in the know with the constant evolution of technological innovation anymore. Technology has kicked down our front door, plopped down on our couches, and snatched our attention. Microsoft plans to do that LITERALLY with HoloLens. Last January Microsoft unveiled its HoloLens demo and got the tech world buzzing. The consumers…

The Consumer Electronics Show is held yearly in Vegas. It’s a sneak peak into the herald of technology. Last year the show had a lot of smart watch antics. Each year of course you get the upgraded usuals. This year a TV caught my eye. The OLED see-through TV. Initially I was nonplussed by the presentation. Then the dust settle just a little. Who in the world would want a see-through tv? How would this be applicable in a home? I guess the geekiest of geeks could look at their Star Wars poster while watching Luke get his hand severed…
