Browsing: Some Reviews

I’m gonna start my review off with this, I am a 25 year old single male who has never been married. With that being said I will say that I only watched this stand-up because: 1.) I love stand up comedy and 2.) Netflix said that I’d probably like it. I checked it out and i’ll tell you that I don’t think it was entirely for me but I did laugh at some bits. Jen seems like she’s really venting her frustration with marriage and how married people view someone who’s divorced. It wasn’t always funny for me during the…

First off I’m going to say this, any movie that gives me free items before I go to watch the movie has already won my heart. Now that that’s been said lets move into what I truly think about this film. Honestly Tomorrowloand to me isn’t a movie, it’s more of an adventure, a gorgeous, beautiful, imaginative adventure that happens to be on a screen. I was looking at the movie Lake House one day with my mom and she said “You have to completely dump what you believe to be reality in order to truly appreciate this movie.” The…

I’ve got to say, when I first saw these trailers I just didn’t expect it to be very good at all, I had no clue what it was about (This version at least, I knew the overall premise) and I really just thought it was going to be a lot of cool graphics for no reason. But on the opening scene I was hooked. This movie was a visual marvel and I was engulfed in this world from the get go. You can tell they truly shot this film in the desert because the post-apocalyptic feel you get from it,…

When I first started listening to this album I had different expectations. My mind was really turnt and waiting for a great beat to just drop in, and then California Roll came on, so immediately my hopes were dashed. I knew that I needed to calm myself down and chill in order to enjoy this album so that’s exactly what I did. I’ve got to tell you, once I did that, I found myself rolling down my windows, watching the sunset, and cruising to this album like no other. It’s not for everyday bumping, but man Snoop really put some…

Avengers: Age of Ultron was definitely bigger and more fun than the original, and it was a lot darker. I truly believe that if someone walks out believing that they don’t think it’s as good as the first one it’s because you simply can’t recreate the magic of seeing all the avengers on the screen for the first time, you just can’t. But this movie surely tries to give you something new. It’s a lot darker, a lot edgier, and it makes for a thrilling movie with amazing action scenes. Just like any marvel movie it will make you laugh…

To say that Kendrick Lamar’s album To Pimp a Butterfly is for the casual music head, is like saying red bull is just sugar and water. Maybe that’s a bit absurd, but the message is still the same, if you search deeper you will find that there is way more to this album. On my first listen I could not fully understand the genius, artistic narrative that was To Pimp a butterfly. The songs crafted for easy listening definitely stuck with me like “u”, “king kunta”, “blacker the berry”, and “alright.” Other songs really required you to search deeper…
