Us Millennial Adults live in a tough time. When Dave Chappelle said “We live in the age of spin.” He was not just referring to the media’s way of distorting the truth. I believe he was also referring to how we Millennial Adults can distort the truth. With the a smartphone, a decent camera, and the click of a button we can post a moment of fabricated happiness instead of showing the reality of a situation.
With that toxicity flooding Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook we begin to try to take the easy way out so that we can try to live this fabricated life and “Flex for the gram.” Most of us don’t have it figured out. We need to know that we don’t have to figure it all out right now. We need to be able to listen to instruction from those wiser than us and apply the general principle to our situation.
Millennial Adults want more in life because we see that it’s obtainable. Sometimes we can get caught up in showing that we’ve obtained something to the point where we neglect the hard work it takes to actually get there. The suffering, the cluelessness, the sleepless nights and moments of self doubt are all apart of the journey and it will make us grow stronger. We live in an age where it’s easy to wipe away our true feelings with a smile and a few words and then we try to compete with others who are doing the same..
This new series Millennial Adulthood with RY and Curt can help change your life. It show’s that you don’t have to have it all figured out. Life is a journey, and you need to learn every day. Quit trying to hit a home run. Maybe you need to load the bases first and then go for the grand slam. Millennial Adulthood is about cherishing moments of growth rather that be when you’re out of town, chilling with friends, or just cleaning up. It’s all apart of maturing and growing up. So everyone tune into Millennial Adulthood every wednesday. I truly believe that this web series will help to bridge a gap between the generations.
